Exercise Can Help You Maintain A Healthy Weight…

Exercise Tips To Become Healthy…
by Andréa Albright
Regular Exercise Is A Critical Part Of Staying Healthy.
No matter how long you’ve been exercising, you can always take your exercise game to ”a new level”.
And if you’re just getting started with an exercise habit, then it’s best to get started off doing it SMARTLY so you get the most RESULTS from the least amount of effort.
Here are 3 Quick Exercise Tips:
1. Focus On Your Lower Body
If you’re trying to get the most IMPACT from your exercise sessions, and you want to RAISE your metabolism as high as possible…
Focus on the largest muscles in your body
The more lean muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolism, so it makes since that’s where you want to focus most of your time and attention (or course, you still want to do UPPER body exercises to keep you BALANCED).
The upper leg muscles (the quads and hamstrings), plus the butt muscles (the gluteus maximus and minims) and the LARGEST muscles in the human body.
Doing exercises that work these muscles are the BEST for raising your heart rate, speeding up your metabolism, and building the most lean muscle mass that will keep you burning through energy even while you are resting.
2. Always Use Your CORE
Your CORE is made up of ALL your abdominal muscles – the front, sides, and even back muscles that support your spine – and the pelvis too!
Your CORE keeps your posture stable and your spine supported allowing proper space for your internal organs and digestion. (better digestion = faster metabolism)
Engaging your CORE muscles will give you more ENERGY while you are exercising, and protect you from injury.
PLUS… practicing CORE awareness is a good idea no matter what you’re doing!
But in exercise, it is absolutely essential.
You’ll also be increasing the muscles you are using, so that will speed up your metabolism even more (see how it just
keeps getting better and better!… the body is so AMAZING).
3. Stay Present
What happened last week does NOT serve you.
We ALL have good days and bad days, good weeks and rough ones… and your exercise commitment is going
to struggle more at certain times.
Just last week, I had a really hard time getting up early enough to exercise in the morning, and for me if I don’t do it first thing, then it aint’ happening…
So I only got 1 yoga practice in amd a few cardio sessions. By the end of the week, I felt so tired and depressed (being stagnant starts to affect me FAST), that I made a strong commitment to make THIS week a new start.
All that matters is that you keep getting back to your commitment and let go of whatever did (or did NOT) happen in your past.
Today is a new day to start from a new beginning.
~Breathe~ and always remember to listen to your body
I had every intention of starting this week off with a bang, and I set up on my roofdeck to exercise and push myself this morning.
But as soon as I started to exercise, I felt a “twinge” in my right knee.
I’ll admit, I didn’t stop right away because my ego was really looking for that validation hit of fulfilling my commitment to myself…
But it kept crying out for me to listen to it, and so I stopped.
I was bummed that I couldn’t do any lower body exercises so I went straight into CORE exercises on the floor.
I finished it up with a few back bends against the wall, and when I walked all the way down to the floor, my knee cried out in agony.
I lowered myself down onto the ground, and thought, ”Oh no, I really pushed it too far”…
I pulled myself up and bent over to get my face as close to my knee as possible. I took my hands and imagined white healing light pouring out of them onto my injured knee…
I whispered, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I pushed you too far, and should’ve listened to you.
Next time, I promise, I’ll listen.”
And I spent some time just giving my knee love and attention. Turns out, that was all it needed.
I stood up and was able to walk down the stairs and back inside. And now, you see where this newsletter came from…
I figured, if I can’t DO it, I mine-as-well write about it
Hope you got something to inspire you to take your exercise game to a new level.
