Way To A Flat Belly…

Phase 1

When you’re going on the flat belly journey, you need to be aware that there are different phases you’re going to be moving through as you are losing belly fat. In the beginning, phase 1 is a very exciting place to be.

This is where you start to feel the difference in your energy levels and in your mood and you start to feel it in your clothes and how your jeans and your pants and your belts are fitting looser and looser.

 Phase 2

It’s a very exciting phase and you are going to get these results really quickly from the tips and the secrets that I’m going to be sharing with you.

Then as you move into phase 2 of your flat belly journey, it’s important to understand that you may not have as immediate results as you did in phase 1.

This is where your body starts to acclimate or starts to regulate itself to the changes that you’ve been making and so sometimes you can go through a plateau where you stop losing belly fat or you can through a dip where actually belly fat may come back.

It’s important to be aware that phase 2 is part of the journey. Most people give up, most people think, oh, it’s not working, I’m meant to have belly fat and they just stop right there, but if you can make it through this phase 2 of the journey then you are rewarded when you move into phase 3.

Phase 3

Phase 3 is where it begins to become effortless and all your hard work and effort that you’ve been applying to your flat journey really starts to pay off.

That’s when your body to goes to an accelerated speed of losing belly fat. Your metabolism skyrockets.

You feel great inside of your body and then you start to know for sure that all of these changes that you’ve been making are going to last because it becomes a part of you.

It’s now effortless to just live in this state of being So knowing that the three phases are in front of you, it’s important to be aware that you may have difficulty or you may have setbacks and in any one of these phases.

But if you can stick with the journey, you’re going to move through it quickly and easily and you’re going to be prepared for those setbacks before they come.

So that when you do run into them, you know how to move through them quickly and move into phase 3 as quickly and effortlessly as possible.

One of the most important things to understand as you’re going through your flat belly journey is that sugar directly increases your belly fat and here’s a diagram with sugar spikes and belly fat.

We’re going to be talking more about this as we go through the flat belly journey, but this diagram right here just shows you that there’s a belly fat tipping point and when your blood sugar levels get too high, it causes belly fat storage.

This is directly related to stress hormones in your body like cortisol and adrenaline, which are also important for regulating the belly fat and for stopping the belly fat storage and becoming aware of when you eat too much sugar that it’s going to be sending your body into these sugar spikes and that’s where belly fat storage happens.

The key to going through the flat belly journey and moving into phase 3 of the flat belly journey is to stopping the sugar spikes and regulating your stress hormones so that you don’t live in state of chaos and overwhelm and cortisol and adrenaline aren’t pumping through your brain and your body all the time.

What that’s going to do is it’s going to lower your stress hormone levels and it’s also going to regulate your blood sugar levels by the journey that we’re going on as you learn all the tips and the secrets and everything that I’m going to be sharing with you, regulating your blood sugar and calming your stress hormones and that is going to stop your body from storing belly fat.

You can see here that there’s no sugar spikes and that’s when you get a flat belly.

The flat belly journey is an amazing place to go through and I’m so excited that you are wanting to go on this journey.

It is exciting when you start to feel and start to see the difference in your belly fat and it’s so wonderful when you move through to the phase 3 where you know for sure that you’ve got this and you’re totally confident that this is your new way of being and that you will have a flat belly forever.

Practice Yoga Postures To Help You Lose Weight…

Do An Inversion!

… And while this photo on the left is a very advanced inversion, called “Headstand” in yoga… there are LOTS of easy inversions that you can do that will prepare you for this more advanced yoga posture.

Here’s what this is all about…

An inversion is simply changing your body’s position so that you INVERT your body’s normal orientation and the blood flows in the opposite direction.

 

Inversions Are Very Easy To Do.

And many of us do them without knowing it…

  • Lifting your arms up, crossing your arms and resting them on your head

 

  • Laying on your back and resting your legs on a surface that is higher than your heart (hospitals use this posture for healing patients)

 

  • Kicking your legs up on a desk or chair

 

Anytime you change the direction of the blood flow by lifting or lowering one part of the body differently than you normally do… this is an INVERSION. And inversions are SO good for you and your body’s health.

By changing the blood flow direction, you are stimulating the circulation.  Just like a pool of water will get murky, dirty, and clouded with toxins if it is stagnant and stuck… Your body’s blood flow gets stuck inside of you, and this causes toxins and disease to build up inside of you.

It’s important to gently “stir up” your body’s circulation so that it can flow freely.  Your blood is the transport system for the body to get oxygen and remove wastes, so you want your blood to flow smoothly without any pools or blocks.

This is how your body heals itself. This is how your metabolism heals and speeds up.

By improving the circulation in your body, your entire body starts to heal itself from the inside-out. Your digestive organs are healed, and you are able to extract more NUTRITION from every bite of natural food.

Your endocrine system is healed, and your body’s glands and the hormones they produce (like the thyroid gland that regulates metabolism) is cleansed and purified with a fresh flow of healing blood full of oxygen, breath, and healing love.

Improving the circulation of your body is ALWAYS a good thing.

And when you start to INVERT and breathe deeply on a daily routine, AMAZING things start to happen.

 

Here’s one you can practice…

 

Yoga Posture:    Legs Up The Wall

 

There’s no fancy yoga name for this posture I want to teach you.  It’s just called “Legs Up The Wall” and it’s one of my favorite inversions.

  • Start sitting down on the floor with your right hip and shoulder pressed as close to the wall as you can get (don’t force it) just sit next to the wall and gently lean your ride side against it.

 

  • Now slowly lay down onto your back and bring your legs straight up the wall.

 

  • You want your hips and butt to be as close up against the wall as possible so this is why it helps to sit as closely to the wall as you can before lying down.

 


Level 1:

  • With your back flat on the floor, your hips pressed as close to the wall as possible, and your legs are straight up the wall… now straighten your legs as STRAIGHT as possible (be gentle with the hamstrings here  and breathe into the backs of your legs as you straighten).

 

  • Flex your feet so it looks like you’re standing flat on the ceiling.

 

  • Place your hands either on your belly so you can FEEL the rhythm of your breath… Or, you can place your left hand on your heart center and right hand on your belly to connect to the DANCE between your breath and heartbeat – beautiful.

 

This is the posture. ~ Deep Breaths ~ Stay here for as long as you like for a minimum of 5 minutes. You can lay in this posture for 10, 15, 20 minutes or more.

It’s blissful, restorative, and healing. I like to listen to a guided meditation, or soft spiritual, healing music just laying there ~breathing~ with my legs up the wall.

 

Level 2:

  • Place a heavy cushion or pillow on the soles of your feet so that the gentle pressure pushes down onto your feet and legs.

 

  • Visualize a soft, flowing waterfall falling over the soles of your feet, down your legs, and into your heart center.

 

This inversion is so good for the veins of your lower extremities.  Every part of them, all the way down to the tips of your toes, the veins are relaxing because for the first time, they are not pushing against gravity.

See, the arteries pull blood away from the heart, and the veins pull the blood back to your heart.  And because your legs are BELOW your heart center all the time, they have to work AGAINST gravity to push the blood back up to the heart.

There are valves that help with this blood flow, but when these valves break, pools of blood get stuck (this is what happens with varicose veins).

Giving your legs and veins a BREAK is a very healing experience.

 

Level 3:

  • Place a cushion or rolled up blanket underneath your hips so that you’ve LIFTED your pelvic floor and now all the organs of digestion, and reproduction are INVERTED as well.

 

This is even MORE healing for the internal systems of the body. This slight lift and change in the body’s circulation once again alters the blood flow and cleans out pools of toxins that are stagnate and stuck.

Lie here and ~Breathe~ deeply and consciously for as long as you need to replenish and heal. Just doing this simple INVERSION will change the internal systems of your body, and replenish your internal organs.

This is what will speed up your metabolic systems (aka ‘your metabolism’).  When your body’s systems are stuck and breaking down, they cannot do their jobs properly, and the body continues to store fat. 

The way to stop this is to heal the body. Replenish the body. Give your body a relaxing break. So that it can swim in the healing breath and conscious LOVE and LIGHT that is surrounding you now and always.

 

Once you start practicing inversions, you’ll be “hooked” to the BLISS and you’ll never want to go back.

So you can start getting a flat belly and a stronger core starting today.

I’ve watched thousands of people go through this program and I’ve seen that there are really just a few big mistakes that people keep making over and over again.

If you can be aware of these mistakes, then you can make other choices that are positive and healthy and will actually give you a flat belly and a strong core.

Stop Sucking In The Belly!

So this is a big mistake that I see a lot of people doing and I get it because I used to do it all the time.

We’ve been taught we need to look skinny and we need to suck in our stomach.

You’re sitting there at a cocktail party or  surrounded by people and you’re sucking in your stomach.

You’re really uncomfortable and like it’s cutting off your breath.

So that word suck in, is  horrible because sucking implies that you’re sucking in and stopping your breath.

So let go of the sucking in your belly and just try relaxing your belly instead.

Maybe you’ve never actually done this before so let’s do it now. You can place your hand on your belly if that’s comfortable for you or you can just bring your conscious awareness on to your belly and just take a slow deep breath.

Allow it to completely expand and then slowly exhale.

Just allow it to slowly exhale back out. Now that is a relaxing comfortable breath.

So an action step to get a flat belly is the more breath you have, the faster your metabolism is going to be, you’re going to have more oxygen for your cells and your cells need oxygen, right?

I mean you need to be healthy.

When Your Metabolism Speeds Up, You Drop Belly Fat

Breathing deeper, allowing your metabolism to speed up as you take deeper breaths and then this also stops the constriction around your abdomen and your internal organs and think about if you’re stopping, if you’re all tight and constricted right there, that means you’re not going to be able to digest your food very well, right.

So stop sucking it in and an action step would be take one deep relaxing breath every day.
