1. It is not sugar directly, it is wine…and I know wine has sugar.
2. I am really bored in my life and wine makes life seam to go faster, even TV seams to get more interesting…weird ha?
3. Friends that would like to hang out or do stuff…I am always by myself and my phone does not ring.
Gyda, I live by myself and know the feeling that you mentioned — my little dog is my companion — I am also working with a new trainer – getting wonderful results (lost 9 inches and 8.6 pounds in the last 22days AND I do not have any feelings of deprivation) but my trainer told me to stay away from wine and any dark liquor. She said if you would like to have a cocktail – go for for a shot of vodka in club soda, take a wedge of a fresh lime or lemon and run the fruit around the rim of the glass then squeeze it into the drink and enjoy. Sip – never drink it with a straw – it goes down too fast. It has really worked for me and I hope it is helpful for you too…..ciao bella, Ms Peg
Great questions! You are definitely onto something with the excitement you get from eating sugar. It affects your nervous system, hormonal system, as well as your digestive system … sugar is a toxin that sends your body out of balance and into fat-storage mode.
Once you get the right foods and nutrition into your body, and balance your blood sugar so your cravings go away, you can start to look at the emotional desire to having “sweetness” in your life.
Turns out, you are your own best friend. And the way that you care and nurture your body and your whole self is a direct reflection of the relationships that you will attract into your life. It you want better relationships and more “sweetness” in your heart, then begin to love yourself more by gifting your body with healthy foods, making fitness and exercise a daily part of your life, and create quiet time to relax your mind so your stress cycles stop sending your mind into emotional overload, which will stop you from turning to the “sugar fix” to lift you up.
This is a process and a journey. I’m so happy to be traveling it with you!~
Hi Andrea-
1. biggest problem- I feel everything I have has HFCS in it! Makes me realize how insidious it is incorporated into so many things.
2.what do I need? some regular coaching on what foods I can have that help conquer these cravings, and are HFCS free.
3.Someone to clean out my kitchen and pantry!
ME TOO!!
Everything you just said is exactly what I was going to answer.
1. The hormonal cravings get me good. I don’t have balanced hormones and I crave wine to ice cream.
2. I feel I need to detox and clean up my diet and allow only a minimal amount of natural sugars through fruit.
3. Magic bullet: someone to rewire my brain to dislike sugar!
Try really good green tea – it is mild (use Sencha Ariake or something else that needs 1-2 minutes to stew) and tastes better without sugar. Also – nuts, seeds and raisins seem to reduce my desire for sweets, the craving seems to disappear.
And believe it or not – going to bed and getting more sleep works WONDERS with cravings!!
Love,
Tiiu
1. What I can or cannot eat that would contain sugar… I am not a candy eater, once in awhile I will have candy of sorts; what foods to stay away from would help me out.
2. I need some sort of a guideline for sugar intake; recently had blood work done and glucose reading was slightly elevated.
3. control over what sugar I do eat.
My biggest problem with sugar in any form (even bread) is that if I get myself off the sugar I can cope. But the minute I slip (even accidentally get sugar on something I didn’t realize had sugar) I start craving sugar again. Then I have a hard time getting back off again. I am going through that now.
1. My biggest problem is the evenings. I can eat well all day, eat a healthy dinner and then crave something sweet. If I give in I just can’t stop and its a constant walk to the pantry or fridge for more food…biscuits, sultanas, bread, chips anything i can get my hands on actually…I then I feel awful!
2. Not sure what I need, a lock on the fridge maybe! When people are around I sometimes can curb it but not always,
3. magic bullet would be a pill to stop the cravings!!!
The problem I have is the same…. You not alone!!!
My sugar problems are from hypoglycemia
and now diabetes.if I don’t eat very controlled meals I crave sugar,i eat it and then I am all messed up. I try to get back on track but a little bit of sugary food or too much fruit and I am back off track again.
1. What is your biggest problem or frustration you’re experiencing right now with sugar?
Cravings during my time of the month seems to be the most obvious issue. In addition, I’ve developed this obsession with french fries I used to make a weekly stop in Chick-Fil-A for their waffle fries, but decided I wasn’t getting my money’s worth. Now I buy them frozen at Whole Foods. Sometimes I’ll eat a serving for lunch/dinner and that’s all I’ll have for that meal because it fills me up (mostly bloating!)
2. What do you need in order to get over this obstacle? I travel a lot during the week and have limited ability to purchase perishable groceries like fruits and vegetables. Although I eat them when I travel, I have access to fancy hotel sweets that are special treats, therefore perfect opportunties!
3. If you could have the “magic bullet” for breaking free from sugar what would it be? A personal chef!
1. Finding things to eat that are not full of sugar.
2. willpower to not give into sugar when I get stressed at work I work around food all day:(
3. magic bullet something that would make sugar taste awful.
1. everything has sugar init now days
2. A good grocery store
3. A good Health food store that is affordable
1. Sugar feels like a drug to me, it makes me so happy and gives me so much energy and even though I know how bad it is and how it is keeping me from achieving my weight loss goals, the feeling it gives me feels so good in the moment that my innerchild voice simply doesn’t care and I can’t seem to break the habit of grabbing more and more and more and more.
2. I feel like I need a medication or an outside substance. I’ve tried all kinds of therapy.
3. Something that would make sugar taste awful.
Sancha – ooooh, you nailed it! I am right there with you….sugar somehow’grabs’ my taste buds and does not let go.
1. My weakness is for chocolate..I crave it in the afternoon at work and then again in the evening while watching TV. Sometimes I prefer to eat a chocolate rather than eating a mealing.
2. I need to find an alternative food that would give me some pleasure as well as address the need to eat something at these times of day.
3. I need to braek the routine of eating chocolate at these times and yes also break the comfort that chocolate gives to me.
I feel exactly the same way! Besides chocolate, though, my biggest weakness is ice cream & my husband. We’re newly married, and I’m having a hard time convincing him to eat better. So when he has ice cream, I have ice cream. The least I can do is buy low fat, low sugar ice cream and the Skinny Cow chocolate bars. A personal chef would help us out tremendously!
Heather, I know exactly what you are talking about. I’ve been married 26 years and it hasn’t changed. My husband has to have something sweet every evening, usually ice cream, despite his own weight and health issues. He’s always bringing something home and if its there I’ going to eat it. By the way, he’s a chef, so that doesn’t help.
1. My biggest obstacle is the idea of certain tastes/foods as ‘treats’. At the moment, I love treating myself with a little cup of cookies and cream ice-cream or a few too many squares of chocolate, or a hot chocolate with marshmallows! I guess because I eat healthily most of the time, I get a lot of pleasure from these treats. I also get a lot of pleasure from a big salad beast or a bowl of porridge with LSA and chia seeds, though, so perhaps the problem is that I use food as a means of pleasure-seeking. Is this even a problem, though? Hmm…
2. Like others have mentioned, I also feel that if I had a stronger social life, I might turn to food less. I feel lonely often, even though I see friends a couple of times a week.
3. Magic bullet… A boyfriend to keep me occupied
I don’t have problems with sugar, i can go months without sweets. My challenge is starches, especially pasta.
Thanks for your message. I’m slightly overweight, but at the oresent time, I’ve no desire to lse my extra pounds.
Best wishes to you, Sally
1. I’m slightly overweight, but I’m now 48 years old and very worried to gain more weight with aging. Not sugar in particular, the problem whenever I see food I cannot forbid myself eating it.
2. I think I need a motive that help me to say NO when I’m full, or when the food is not healthy.
3. An assertive No to myself when I’m not hungry. I hate to feel the cravings to food, all kinds of food, all the time.
Best wishes to you, Omayma
I do believe, sugar addiction is related to alcohol addiction.
Have you ever talked to anyone who goes to AA? They always have lots of sugary goodies at the end of the meeting.
One sugar, white to replace another in the alcohol..
My best plan to combat this is to have some alternatives always at the ready.
My favorite is frozen blueberries, which are super healthy and filled with antioxidants.
I had a nasty sugar crash yesterday so this is a very timely survey.
(1) Whenever I manage to get sugar (particularly chocolate) off my diet I get a major anxiety attack that lasts weeks or months and crash back into eating every crap I can to make it stop. Another problem is I turn to sugar when I’m not motivated to do a job and I compensate myself for starting with chocolate.
(2) Two things would help: if I knew if sugar was indeed the cause for my anxiety attacks – so knowledge about the relationship between anxiety, chocolate and sugar will be very welcome. The other thing would be other ways of compensating myeself or motivating myself to take on seemingly impossible tasks, boring, daunting tasks at work. I know it’s the wrong job for me, but at the moment I’m lucky to even have a job, so starting a new course in life is out of the question.
(3) I’m not sure about magic… I’d say a down to earth, simple way to turn bad days around – to put a “stop” sign – would be extremely helpful.
Thanks for everything you do,
Iris
I crave sugar all the time–I dream about chocolate.
I wish I could look at sugar and be turned off by it.
Don’t really know what would help me!
My problem is that I can’t eat it if its not sweet or salty. I prefer sugar over salt. I had cut salt out completely at one time but there is no way I can stop eating sugar. If I cut down how much sugar I eat to 1/4 it would still be too much. I start with maple brown sugar oatmeal (which I have to put sugar on because brown sugar and white sugar taste different). I might have coffee (with lots of sugar) because I need it to release water retention when I don’t take my blood pressure pills. Chocolate, brownies, peppermint, butterscotch candy and gum are something I have almost every day – have to have something in my mouth most of the day to keep me awake at work.

1. Getting started on sugar and then not limiting usage.
2. Humm, if I only knew.
3. I just had gallbladder removed, maybe this is my magic bullet.
1) I get a craving for chocolate and high fat food a week before my period. I can’t help it.
2) I would like to eat more healthy food everyday.
3) I would like to get a personal coach to help me lose weight and tell me what not to eat.
Dear Andrea,
1.As I avoid wheat and dairies, I noticed I crave for sugar.
Just a bit of dark chocolate is enough, but many times a day.
2.I need something to help me with the intense hunger I feel at 5pm.
3. I would like to get satisfied with frutose.
Thank you for your attention,
Love & Light,
Nicolette
While I am slowly learning what things don’t work for my body (really rich foods like truffle = badness) and absolutely love high grain organic breads and as many legumes and vegies as I can get, I still really like alcohol.
I’m getting better at moderating my intake but after a couple of drinks I can lose a bit of self control and get into too many snacks etc.
I would love the ability to stay consistent…
1. To be honest I dont have a problem with sugar. I dont crave sweet things and I dont eat much of it at all. I am very good at avoiding it. My problem is with starchy and fatty foods when I am emotionally eating.
Emily, I am right there with you. I have protein shakes that are sooo good for you and very sweet. I don’t want them I want a Pork roll sandwich , I want Real food… Mac & cheese.. starches. Kathy
I dont like cooking period; it must be easy and quick, I even eat quickly. If I sit at a table with beautifully prepared food, I will stuff myself with a second helping. I have to feel so full I just cannot eat another bite.
Then I can also go and fast during the day, for weeks, where I only eat something easy and light in the evenings.
I suffer at times from reflux and insomnia when I’m stressed. I find myself out of breath and clenching my jaw, so much so that my teeth hurt. The bad thing is, I have absolutely no reason to stress, it’s pure habbit from way back when I was going through a bad divorce, 11 yrs ago.
I know I’m eating to be unactractive to men, I dont want to be hurt again.
1. I lost around 10 pounds last year, and i thought i got used to dieting, but i was wrong. I started eating sweets all the time,my boyfriend loves sweet things and being in a relationship for over a year is not that helpful to focusing on my goal weight. I need to loose another 10 pounds and I am struggling with it.
2. I think I need a lot of motivation, that is the key to everything in life. And maybe some exercise,it’s summer and i quit gym for 3 months.
3. A really good replacement (and not toxic like aspartam or something) and something to make me stop eating while watching my boyfriend eat
1.I have to have sugar everyday whether it is in the form of cake, cookies, ice cream or candy.
2.Daily encouragement and replacements to get rid of these sugar cravings.
3.A pill I could take to completely rid myself of these sugar cravings and a pill to take to only have cravings for healthy feed to help me loose weight.
1. i can say no to pretty much everything else, but I have a sweet tooth!
2. To be around it less often, but when I am around it to remember that I don’t actually need it, and that it makes me feel bad (sick) after.
3. Being strong enough to listen to how i truly feel inside.
I was chocolate addict and you told me to cut sugars out completely and eat lots of dried fruits and nuts. I did so
I think I was eating 1 lbs daily
But for 3 months I didn’t touch anything with sugar or flour in it
Then I went on a trip and there was one pastry I couldn’t resist. Since then I do cheat now and then but I am on track and my body has changed so much. My legs are getting much leaner.
The most interesting part is that I don’t care anymore about my weight etc. I started to love myself and fully accept. Thank you so much for this.
These days I am into RAW VEGAN desserts (I have books from Sarma Melngailis, Ani Phyo and Matthew Kenney). I think most of their stuff resonates with what you teach. I only have a concern about CACAO BUTTER. Can I use it in making desserts?
I have moved to a city center, I live in Europe. I have dramatically reduced use of transportation. I walk everywhere. On average I spend 2 hours walking to all the place I need and come back
But am pretty ok with what I eat, but I need more physical activity. Could you teach that? Do you to YOGA ONLINE classes?
1. To me white flours/other fast carbohydrates are bigger problem than actual sugar – it all comes to the same thing of course, getting “high”. I’ve never been a big sugar consumer but I end up eating too much bread, pasta etc and it is almost as bad as sugar is for me.
My biggest problem is that I don’t remeber to eat and get really hungry, my blood sugar drops and I get huge cravings – and eat too much when I finally eat.
2. I wish I knew! If I could get a proof that I would feel mentally much better it woul probably help me to take care of my eating habits better.
3. I don’t think there are any magical solutions. I do wish there was good easy fast foods for busy days that would keep me going.
1. I am struggling with what to eat instead. Most of the yummy foods I like have lots of sugar in them.
2. Food guidelines. Not a diet, but suggestions of foods that I can buy or make that won’t have any (or at least less) sugar.
3. What I want more than anything are books or classes that help me learn to like healthy foods. (I’m a picky eater.) There’s definitely no lack of diets out there, but I don’t want a diet. I want to figure out what is truly healthy that I like the taste of and will be good for my body.
Survey Questions:
1. What is your biggest problem or frustration you’re experiencing right now with sugar?
I am diligently trying to stay away from sugar, but the problem is that it is hidden in foods that you wouldn’t even think HAD sugar in them. It is buried in the ingredients under other names (chemical, foreign sounding words) and it is very hard to eat any kind of processed food without running the risk of eating it. Its a pain to always have to try and read labels when in a hurry and its hard to always just eat fresh unprocessed food at work and on the run.
2. What do you need in order to get over this obstacle?
The motivation to just try harder to get it and stick to natural, unprocessed foods. How to deal with “sugar setbacks” that start once sugar sneaks back in unkown to me based on something I ate with hidden sugars in it
3. If you could have the “magic bullet” for breaking free from sugar what would it be?
Hypnosis or submliminals that sugar = toxicity to my body and sabatoges my weight loss goals
My biggest problem with sugar is if i have some I start to crave it a couple of days afterwards and them I have to be really present to not eating sugar. Eating sugar triggars something in me to overeat.
I need to know the trigger!
Thank you for all the help always!
lots of love,
Marianne
1. Every time I have a little extra cash, I always end up buying sweets! I know it’s not good for me, but I do it anyways.:(
2. Support. If I end up NOT getting sweets, my parents will anyways and it drives me crazy!
3. Um…I guess a sugar “supplement”… Like something to replace sugar to fill in that “need” to eat sweets. It would help burn fat instead of gain fat!
1. The worst problem that sugar seems to be in everything. And when your with family & friends….the food choices our not always healty.
2. A plan that is completly detailed in what to eat…breakfast/lunch/dinner….with easy to find items and minimal prep time.
3. The magic bullet…a personal chef…to grocery shop and prepare meals.
Survey Questions:
1. What is your biggest problem or frustration you’re experiencing right now with sugar?
I love chocolate, it’s usually at night when I have the munchies…and I usually just give in, even after a day of healthy meals and working out!
2. What do you need in order to get over this obstacle?
A personal chef, haha, I would say more self control, more intention.
3. If you could have the “magic bullet” for breaking free from sugar what would it be?
Eating it and it not affecting me, hahah ok I would like to have really delicious meals and snacks that are extremely healthy too..sometimes I just want something tasty that I know I like or I just want to throw something together quickly. Really I think the magic bullet though would be to travel all the time so candy isn’t as thrilling.
Hi Andria, I under went a gastric bypass in December, and to date i have lost 117 LBS,my bigest problem is, sugar agrees with me where most other foods do not.I know this will be a problem for me before long, do you have any suggestions?
1. What is your biggest problem or frustration you’re experiencing right now with sugar?
It is not sugar I crave but I can get really bad urges for chocolate.
2. What do you need in order to get over this obstacle?
Try to find something else or indulge in a chocolate taste that has the least calories.
3. If you could have the “magic bullet” for breaking free from sugar what would it be?
Money to be no object so can buy all the tasty fresh fruit available all year round to satisfy the sweet cravings instead. in winter all the exotic fruits I love tend to be very expensive.
1)I dont like sugar, but when I am stressed ,emotionally or physically I reach for sugarrich foods or carbs.
2)I need safety, for my emotional wellbeing and my physical wellbeing.
3)More love in my life.
1. I eat too much sweets! Especially when I’m on my period.
2. Sugar detox
3. Will power
1. My inability to stop eating it. It is convenient. It is comfort food for me. Even though I know the consequences of eating too much sugar, I acquiesce anyway.
)
2. ????If I knew, it would be done.
3. Magic bullet? No longer craving it? No longer finding strange comfort in it.
Thanks to your suggestions, I am currently off sugar. The less I eat, the less I want. I occasionally have a craving for chocolate and so far have gotten by with L’arabars but they are quite dense in calories. I would love to have some ideas for dealing with chocolate cravings while staying away from sugar. I would like to keep sugar out of my repetoire.
Biggest challenge with sugar is that other people in the house are eating it and it’s hard to turn down. My son has recently gotten into baking (he doesn’t like to cook) so I feel that saying no to a brownie is going to make him think I don’t appreciate his baking.
There are some times when I really crave sugary stuff, eg. dark chocolate, even cheese cake or cookies (even chips). I find that I need these items after a day of work or stressful time to unwind.
I try to look at the positive side of a emotional stressful or abusive situation but it’s difficult to feel happy without eating something sweet. It’s hard to get over the hurt (caused by others). Trying to forget & forgive myself/others is not as simple as how some gurus advocate it to be.
Thanks, Andrea.
I have become extremely bloated recently and I have noticed that it is sugar of any sort that aggravates the issue.
I’m a very good drinker of alcohol and I have been having a festival on all the seasonal berries this year. Have I overdone it?? Am I off balance? Do I have candida?
I want to detox or cleanse but seems impossible in my home environment. I would like to find a simple food or 2 that I could eat for 10 days or so to ease the bloating and pain.
Thanks for your great work!!
I am off sugar and at my goal weight. I have tried to eat sugar moderately or sparingly and usually end up face down it it – often many pounds and sizes heavier. I fear the day I try it again – my history has shown that I will. How do I not play with fire? And what is my plan if and when I do?
I was able to give it up a long time ago, but slowly got back into eating the sweets. I think it is related to stress and often don’t even realize how much I have eaten. Sometimes the cravings can get bad and they win over my better judgment.
1. i don’t have problems with sugar, my sugar levels are a bit under the normal even if i’m overweight, i don’t have sugar cravings, instead i think about eating bread.
3. sometimes if i really need something sweet, i prefer fruits, or even replacing sucrose with fructose or honey, i really think that these work better.
I stopped eating sugar, white flour, and pasta for at least 3 years. I know that once I got through the first 2 weeks, it was a breeze! You don’t even miss it. Then my Dr. changed my prescription, and all the sudden, I craved sugar all the time! I don’t struggle with losing weight and I stay at the same weight I’ve been for the last 5 years, but still want sugar on a daily basis. The empty carbs seem to me to be the ones that personally make me gain weight, but I know the amount of sugar I’m eating isn’t good for me even though I stay at about 107 lbs.
1. That I use sugar for self-sabotage. Yes, I deal with the physical addiction too, but it’s more that I turn to the junk when I have low self-esteem. It’s my deadliest weapon against myself.
2. Self-respect, self-honor and being happy with my achievements in life. To not be afraid to succeed and look great. To be excited about my success and not worry that I will make other people feel bad if I succeed in getting healthy and they don’t.
3. The magic bullet would be for sugar to not exist and everyone just agree that healthy foods are delicious and make them readily available and cheaply! But more realistically, the trick would be to turn around my thinking where I am helping others with their own health and setting the example for them. Then I wouldn’t feel ashamed to eat healthy when everyone else is eating junk food… They would be respecting me for my integrity and coming to me for advice and help!
1. The thing is – I love to make different sweet and tasty treats for my family and my two children, and it always includes sugar and sometimes also wheat flour. Sugar is also necessary to preserve fruit and berries from our own garden, so I am making jellies, jams or syrups to use during the long, cold winter months (although I freeze fruit as much as I can stuck in my freezer, but that is not enough). And I love the smell of freshly baked apple pie, for example, or some muffins with cranberries, or freshly baked cookies etc. The only thing that helps is knowing I am making erything from the scratch, so I am avoiding chemicals as much as I can.
Chemical substitutes are not an option for me, thanks, Andrea, for clearing that out to me a long time ago.
2. Unfortunately, when it comes to sugar, there are rare herbal substitutes for that, but the ones that are available in my contry are out of my price range.
But I am slowly getting there, at least learning to control the sugar addiction, using my will power and reading the labels when shopping to avoid sugar and chemicals.
3. Magic bullet? A cheap and healthy sugar substitute would be nice.
I eat sweets to take the place of cigerettes which after 40 odd years I managed to give up, some years ago. Unfortunately I cannot walk or get any of the exercise I used to get and I tend to sit at =my computer most of the day, getting bored.
Hi Andrea,
Obstacal:
I think the biggest obstical is that it is in almost everything you can think off! And it is so addicting… I try to eat as less sugar as possible and within a view days the cravings are gone. But as you say, if you don’t keep off the sugar you’ll be addicted again instandly. And the cravings will come back.
Need: Read the labels! Know what you putt in and feel the food. Get in touch with your body better.
Magic bullet:
I’m thinking of letting the goverment know that we want to be fed healthly. We don’t have to take the crap, we can make a choise. Choose wise, choose health.
after lunch and dinner… i crave chocolate even when i have protien and veggies.
mymagic bullet would be something tat helps me get past that danger zone.
I crave sugar and I don’t know how to stop the cravings. I am also hypothyroid and it is really difficult to lose weight.
Hi. Is this a trick? I clicked as instructed but i see no “sugar guide”. I did order your main e booklet a year ago. Does this also cost money?? I don’t understand.
thank you.
suzette

1. my biggest problem with sugar is I am a carb and sugar junky. An emotional eater that craves sugar and carbs and I give into my cravings again and again. Doesn’t help I have three kids and all the sugary stuff that finds it way into my house i.e. halloween, birthday parties etc.
2. What I need is personal accountability, and a magic wand to make all the cravings go away. LOL
3. Magic bullet would be for temptation to just go away, and that only healthy whole foods be available at stores and restaurants. Unfortunately that is not the case and when I am out and about running errands etc, and I get hungry I always go for a little pick me up to keep me going. i.e. a tea with sugar and a scone with jam. My life is busy, so there are times I need something quick and easy, and my appetite is healthy, so I need to eat regularly.
Is there something like a cheese-detox too?
I think i need it….
1. What is your biggest problem or frustration you’re experiencing right now with sugar?
I seem to crave something sweet, then have to find something salty, or sour; then sweet again. I also think hidden sugars in starches really mess with my cravings, as well as hormonal imbalance.
2. What do you need in order to get over this obstacle?
How can a person who is in this constant turmoil be free of it? I need some guidance on how to control this, or is there a magic pill?
3. If you could have the “magic bullet” for breaking free from sugar what would it be? FAST weight loss, for one. And to really feel better fast, once I do start to lose. If I’m needing to give up all starches and sweets, AND salty foods…I need to see the results fast to stick with it.
1. Biggest problems are dessert definately. I Have a wicked sweet tooth. Also bread, good bread.
2. People need to stop buying sweet “snacks” and asking me to make cakes and cookies every other day.
3. My magic bullet would be being able to go without thinking about food. It seems to always be on my mind, not necessarily that I want it but what I can make later when I’m hungry. I plan these elaborate meals, but by the time I decide to make it, I realize that I snacked so much and I didn’t even really register it. Then I abandon my dinner which would have been immensely more satisfying.
My biggest struggle is with salty fatty foods. I loooove mozzarella sticks and cheeseburgers and fries and things like that. I do enjoy healthy foods as well, and I do wish to enjoy natural foods that are good for my body and will give me a nicer shape and size. I have no idea what would be my ideal fix. It would be great if there were some kind of pill or food that would remove all the bad things from my body after I eat something bad, so that I could eat both good and bad things and not suffer from the bad ones.
I love fatty food , fries , i need to have a way to hate these foods .ofcourse I always try my best for a period of time them i come back to my hunger for fatty food …please show me the way…
Hey Andrea,
I just started forming better healthy habits this week, and
1. my biggest problem with sugar at the moment is that it seems to be hidden everywhere in many of my foods, and unless it’s fruits or vegetables I don’t really know what to eat but I end up having to eat something as nutritious as possible but it still has sugar in it.
2. in order to get through this obstacle, I have been reading the labels and ingredients and making sure I take note of foods i eat that have some sort of sugar in it. i also need to research foods that are more healthy and sugar free without it being processed, so i can replace the foods i’m used to eating that have sugar in it.
3. my magic bullet would be freedom from processed and unnatural foods, especially SUGAR! I want my body to be the best it could be and cleansed from all the garbage the world leads me to believe is real food!!
1. Hidden sugars, think I am eating healthy and then surprise! Now I read where too much fruit or certain fruits are not good for you- I need the truth.
2.Magic bullet- freedom from craving the processed foods.
3. Simple is better for me!
I’m on a roller coaster. I start the day off great with a killer workout and a morning green smoothie. Lunch and dinner are healthy however I crash at night with sugar cravings and mindless emotional eating. I no longer can kill myself in the gym to workoff my bad eating habits.
My mind needs to be reprogrammed.
My magic bullet would be to help another conquer this sugar craving once I’ve been able to do so!
1. OMG where do I start……..first off my family isn’t really supportive because they eat a lot of fattening greasy foods and I can’t help but have what they’re having cuz I HATE cooking, that’s my biggest challenge also I have a really really bad habit of eating like crazy when I’m bored or stressed out which I am more times than not! I don’t have a problem w/sweets though because I really don’t crave for that much anyways and I never eat out so that’s a plus……. but i seem to be on a rollercoaster because I loose it then i gain it all back and it keeps going back and forth constantly. What a pain in the but lol!
2. I guess I would need a miracle really…I’ve tried everything else! Funny thing is I only need to loose 24 lbs but loosing that much is still hard when things don’t seem to go ur way.
3. Lol shoot I wish I could get lost on an island that way I have no choice but to survive on natural foods and lots of fish =) oh and I woudnt mind the added bonus of a really hot model either
1. I don’t really have a big problem with sugar, my problem is eating when I have nothing else to do (and I hate going out)
2. A life!
3. If I go over the amount of sugar I need, I will no longer crave it, and if I did eat more than enough I would throw it up!
I crave for sugar all the time, and I want to loose weigt
1. Problems:
Cravings – especially late night feeling that there’s a hole that needs filling.
Temptation – I’m so bad at resisting anything as long as it’s made available.
Obsession – I spend far too much time thinking about it all
Frustration – I feel like I’m already so healthy at 80% raw, exercising 6 days a week, have lost 6-7kgs so far and yet still cannot budge the last 2-3kgs – I will indulge my cravings in the healthiest possible way and can control the quantities – haven’t had a binge in ages – and yet I still have lower belly pouch and outer hips that just won’t trim down.
2. Need? I dunno! Hopefully you can help?
3. Magic Bullet? probably to genuinely accept and love oneself – I bet all the problems would just melt away then…
1. I love to eat!! I love food. I enjoy a giant green salad just as much as batch of homemade cookie dough. When I diet or try to make “a life change” I get depressed. I am morose just thinking of all the things I can’t have. I don’t like to feel limited. Ninety percent of the time I eat very natural low processed foods. I live in France and have access to freshly made everything. And if I’m having a craving I will whip up a batch of homemade cookies. I avoid food coloring and preservatives. My major problem is balance. I know how to diet. I’ve been practicing since the age of 10. And I know how to crash a diet too… also since the age of 10. What I don’t know, is how to allow myself a treat every once in a while without falling down the gluttony slide. It is always all or nothing for me, and it drives me crazy.
2. I’m not sure what I need… probably a lot of self respect, which I don’t possess.
3. The magic bullet? Loving myself the way I am right now, and not the way I was 3 years ago. Because 3 years ago I didn’t love myself then either, I loved myself 5 years before that. And 8 years ago I didn’t love myself…. do you see where I’m going with this? I’m never content with myself. I need to know I’m worth something now, and not just when I’m skinny. And most of all I need to know how NOT to pass this disease onto my 3 daughters. Sorry for the length. It is hard to put 25 years of eating disorders into one paragraph.
This can be used by man???
Or the program is just for women?
Good night and God bless!
Antonio.
My biggest problem is chocolate but if i can’t have that I will go for something sweet and this is usually at night when i am bored or it can be during the day when I am stressed.
I need to find something that will satisfy this requirement that is not sweet or chocolate so that i can get away from them but i have no idea what that possibly could be
I have no ideas what the magic bullet would be – I am hoping you can tell me thanks
My problem is that I know what is good and not good for me but I just need more discipline to stop consuming the ice cream and. cookies. I have tried making my own healthy versions but I come back to old habits soon after.
I tried moderation but that makes me come back for more. I need to reprogram my brain that will tell me that I don’t need it or want it.
Magic bullet: something that is easy accessible, healthy and natural that I can use or practice everyday to create this new habit on my sweet consumption.
1. I’m addicted….once I start I can’t stop!
2. I need love in my life…. the love of that special Man.
3. Break free from the loneliness. I have great friends that are busy doing their own thing and my phone doesn’t ring either.
I need help with sugar cravings. I love creamy desserts like cheesecake and chocolate but I am very overweight and perimenopausal. My weight has settled on my belly, back, hips and thighs. I also have lupus and take medications for it (not steroids anymore) I am determined to lose weight so that I have more energy and will no longer be sleep deprived. I definitely need your help.
my problem now is that I always hungry in the evening,I eat natural food, just 80% full, do excercise ever day, but because of sports,I feel more hungry than before. How can I do?
I WOULD TRULY LIKE TO LOSE MY BELLY FAT AND FAT FROM THIGHS. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY WHATEVER ANDREA THINKS WILL WORK FOR ME. I EXERCISE DAILY BUT IT SEEMS ALL FOODS SWEETS OR NOT GO STRAIGHT TO MY BELLY AND THIGHS. I ALSO HAVE A MATE THAT CAN EAT SWEETS(ICE CREAM AND COOKIES) EVERY DAY BUT HE DOESN’T GAIN A LOT OF WEIGHT AND HE DOESN’T HAVE ANY HEALTH ISSUES. I COULD SURELY USE SOME HELP TO LOSE THIS BELLY !!!!!
I COULD USE WHAT ANY OF YOU THINK WILL WORK FOR ME ! I THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE !!!
1. My biggest frustration right now with sugar is I eat it EVERY DAY! It usually resides in the form of chocolate, cookies or cream in my coffee, but it’s always there. I hate myself for reaching for it, I hate myself for putting it in my mouth and then I hate myself more for swallowing it. I know the right thing to do is turn away from it, but I fail each and every time I try. I would also like my kids to not start out reaching for sugar in their diets and begin this roller coaster that I’ve been on my whole life.
2. What I need to get over this obstacle is to stop the cravings, to cleanse my palate and be able to say, “No!” when my emotions beg me to say “Yes!”
3. I think the “magic bullet” for me would be to end the cravings, to not have sugar in my home, and to find a way to stop the cycle of letting sugar rule me.
Thanks!
Kari
This morning I put thought into what I was going to put into my body. 8:00 am, I had my chocolate/green shake… Then around 10:00 am I had one serving of oatmeal w/ raisins. I was feeling fine. Then for lunch I had spinach/cheese raviolis w/ a sprinkle of cheese and no more than 30 minutes later I started to feel tired. To the point of wanting to take a nap! I’m going to drink some water, maybe that will help flush me out a bit…. but I see even the pasta with the refined carbs = sugar is what made me feel tired. This is a good thing that I am seeing for myself how bad sugar is…. aha!
As far as my cravings for sugar… it’s not really a craving per say, it’s more of the I want to eat something quick… it could be sweet or salty… just to eat mindlessly. That is my problem…. I need to kick the sugar habit.
One question though. I do drink coffee… no more than 1 – 2 cups per day… but I do add about 1/3 cup of milk and 1 tsp. raw sugar… is this okay? Or should I cut this out too! I don’t feel bad or anything after drinking coffee.. in fact I haven’t even had any today yet.
I have found out that I have a throid problem. No matter what I do I can’t shed the weight. I have been thin most of my life & now carring around 30 to 40 extra lbs its depressing. My boys & Husband say im not fat but its just not me!!! I do eat quite healthy fruits veggies chicken & try not to eat a lot of sweets I don’t drink pop very often & keep water at my desk at work. I just am despert. Can you help?? I am reading all i can about the Throid, & why mine is not working.
Thanks Jeannie from Wyoming

how many glasses of water I drink, to help me get over the Coke thing, but man, it is good. I really do want to get off of them, HELP!! p.s. THANKS
