<p>Research suggests that adopting a few simple, healthy daily habits will help you feel better and possibly reduce your risk of major illnesses like heart disease and osteoporosis.</p>
<p>Here are some of the most important changes you can make for your health, and the perfect time to squeeze them into your daily routine.</p>

<p>Flossing fights gingivitis and gum disease, but it may also help you live longer. A recent study at the University of Buffalo showed that oral bacteria are associated with an increased risk of heart attack. Researchers believe the bacteria that produce dental plaque can enter your bloodstream and may lead to inflamed arteries and blood clots &#8212; the hallmarks of heart disease.</p>
<p>Try to make it a habit to floss in the morning.</p>
<p>If you leave the task for bedtime when you’re exhausted, you’re more likely not to do it. It’s also smart to floss before brushing. Doing so opens up the space between teeth so the fluoride in your toothpaste can better seep in, eliminating even more pesky plaque.</p>

<p>In addition to revving up your morning, coffee may improve memory and protect against Alzheimer’s disease, suggests a review published in the <em>American Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias</em>. Researchers compared evidence from several studies and concluded that as caffeine consumption increases, incidence of Alzheimer’s disease seems to decrease.</p>
<p>The results may be due to coffee’s caffeine content. Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors (“activators”) in the brain, and adenosine is known to slow cognition and affect memory.</p>
<p>So, in other words, with less active adenosine, the brain gets a bit sharper. This occurs even at the range of normal daily consumption (about two to four cups). More studies are warranted, but results are promising.</p>
<p>Other perks are also associated with daily coffee drinking: an increase in focus and concentration, plus reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease. Just don’t drink too much. More than a few cups in one sitting may lead to a caffeine overload, resulting in jitters, a headache or a stomachache.</p>

<p>Hitting a midday slump? Feeling stressed about work? Instead of walking to the vending machine, meet up or take a walk with a friend.</p>
<p>If you have very little time, give her a call for a quick bonding session. Researchers at the University of Michigan found that when women felt emotionally close to someone, their levels of progesterone increased, boosting feelings of well-being and reducing anxiety.</p>
<p>It doesn’t require hours of talking to gain these health benefits.</p>
<p>A quick five- to ten-minute chat does the trick. But do talk instead of sending an email or Facebook message, which isn’t as personal and may not foster the same emotional connection.  Chances are, a quick check-in will boost the spirits of your pal too.</p>

<p>Stretching isn’t just for post-workout cooldowns. Done before bedtime, it can help you catch better-quality z’s. Try this five-minute routine: Slowly touch your toes, then rise, twisting side to side, reaching for the sky; gently stretch your neck, arms and legs.</p>
<p>Aside from improving flexibility and circulation, stretching helps your body release stress and tension from a long day, reports the Mayo Clinic on its Web site. Relaxing your body in this way also helps relax your brain, which receives the signal that it’s time to wind down. This healthy habit is an important part of a healthy sleep routine.</p>
<p>According to the National Sleep Foundation, establishing a relaxing routine like stretching can prevent sleep problems. The organization found that many people engage in stimulating practices before bed, such as watching television, doing chores and surfing the Internet, all of which do not promote a good night’s sleep. Getting a sound seven to eight hours of sleep a night will deliver a big return on your investment: Research shows it bolsters your immune system and improves concentration.</p>

<p>That way, you don’t feel deprived and at the end of your meal, you&#8217;re only going to eat maybe two or three tortilla chips because you&#8217;re not hungry anymore.</p>

<p>Have you always believed that really on the inside, you are slender?</p>
<p>And that really you are <strong>MEANT</strong> to be slender which is why it feels so strange to feel fat?</p>
<p>Sorry to be graffic, and I hope I&#8217;m not offending you with my frankness&#8230;</p>
<p>I just want you to know that&#8230; I get it. I&#8217;ve been there. And I want you to know that there&#8217;s nothing wrong with wanting to be slender, and believing that the REAL you is slender and healthy.</p>
<p>In fact, I would actually say that believing and seeing your true Self as slender and healthy is &#8230; necessary.</p>
<p>Women who can <strong>EMBRACE</strong> their desire to be healthy and slender have more Self-Confidence and this makes you feel more powerful and in control.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t believe in yourself and your natural born <strong>RIGHT</strong> to have the healthy body of your highest vision, then you will be powerless to create lasting change&#8230;and you will continuously be taken advantage of by the next <strong>FAST</strong> weight loss scams who want to sell you a pill, or a supplement, or a procedure. In other words, you will have <strong>NO</strong> control or power over yourself.</p>
<p>Women who <strong>EMBRACE</strong> their vision of a slender, healthy body for themselves are admired for it.</p>
<p>Other people will respect you because everyone secretly wishes that they had that kind of calm, confident, collected charisma. You will be a role model who others to look up to.</p>
<p>When you <strong>BELIEVE</strong> in yourself, and want the <strong>BEST</strong> for yourself, it gives other people permission to reach for their <strong>HIGHEST</strong> Self&#8230; and secretly, every one is wanting and waiting to do this every chance they get.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t believe in yourself and if you don&#8217;t see yourself as a person who <strong>DESERVES</strong> to be slender and healthy, people will see your emotional needs as a burden on them. When you&#8217;re always feeling down on yourself, or criticizing your body&#8230; it is a DRAG for people to be around.</p>
<p><strong>Sorry to break it to you so harshly, but I know you can handle it &#8211; I know you want to wake up.</strong></p>

<p>This makes you a <strong>WINNER</strong> in a very difficult game that our culture forces us to play.</p>
<p>On the other hand, if you cannot embrace this positive idea that you <strong>DESERVE</strong> to be slender and healthy, then you will continuously be a weight loss &#8220;failure&#8221; always jumping from one diet to another.</p>
<p>And you will never truly know whatvSelf-Love feels like&#8230; when you love your whole Self, you want the healthiest version of <strong>EVERY</strong> part of you: your body, your mind, your emotions, your spirit.</p>
<p>And there&#8217;s nothing &#8220;arrogant&#8221; about that.</p>
<p>It would be arrogant or rude if it were only limited to a few select people&#8230; or if only a <strong>FEW</strong> lucky women were able to get the BLISS of a fully healthy and happy <strong>LIFE</strong>&#8230; you know, those &#8220;<em>skinny bitches</em>&#8221; who get to have their cake and eat itvtoo while the rest of us struggle and fight for crumbs&#8230; NO! That&#8217;s NOT how this is. That&#8217;s NOT how the universe works.</p>
<p>There is <strong>ABUNDANCE</strong> for all. You can have <strong>EVERY</strong> aspect of health&#8230; your highest <strong>VISION</strong> that you have only dared to dream in your quietest moments&#8230; will become <strong>REAL</strong> when you <strong>CHOOSE</strong> to let it. You have the power. You have the choice.</p>

<p>And this <strong>LOVE</strong> for your Self just makes you want to do it more and more&#8230; Do you see how it&#8217;s so much <strong>EASIER</strong> to give the healing love to someone you actually<strong> LOVE</strong> and respect? Give your Self this same gift. Take these moments of gratitude throughout your day.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong>Here&#8217;s An Action Step For You:</strong></span></h2>
<p><a href="http://www.amazingbodynow.com/blog/how-to-embrace-the-slender-you/attachment/images-2-4/" rel="attachment wp-att-12487"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-12487" style="margin: 30px;" title="images (2)" src="http://www.amazingbodynow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/images-2.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="224" /></a>Count how many times a day you are grateful.</p>
<p>And when you&#8217;re eating 5 or 6 &#8220;mini-meals&#8221; a day, that will give you a good place to start <img src='http://www.amazingbodynow.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>The key here is to be <strong>CONSCIOUS</strong> of the positive gifts that are around you when you choose to give yourself the gift of health.</p>
<p>This makes you happier and happier with the person you are &#8211; and you wake up to the fact that you have conscious control over the person you are becoming.</p>
<p>This is how you embrace the slender you. Make this higher <strong>VISION</strong> of your Self your new focus. Your new vision is replacing the old. This is your new <strong>HEALTH</strong> addiction.</p>
<p>And this new way of be-ing starts by opening up and receiving all the natural and abundant gifts that are around you right now and always. Imagine what would happen if you started to do this every day&#8230;</p>
<p>What would happen if you<strong> CHOOSE</strong> to believe that everything you need is surrounding you and <strong>INSIDE</strong> of you right at this very moment?&#8230; Would that jump you right into <strong>GRATITUDE</strong> and your higher Self?</p>
<p>And do you see how many natural, feel-good feelings you will be producing when you do this? Do you see how this is a huge step in letting go of negative thoughts and addictive, Self-destructive thinking?</p>
<p>When you <strong>REPLACE</strong> these positive thoughts about your Self, and that YOU are deserving of these gifts, it changes you on the inside &#8211; your mind becomes clearer and happier and healthier&#8230;.</p>
<p>And you are less likely to want to &#8220;escape&#8221; from the present moment. So you therefore are less likely to indulge in negative, Self-destuctive behavior that numbs you out and gives you only that temporary bliss. There is no need to escape.</p>
<p>You are <strong>LIVING</strong> in the bliss when you <strong>CHOOSE</strong> to create it. This natural health bliss is surrounding you and <strong>LIVING</strong> and breathing inside of you.</p>
<p>~Take a deep breath~ and breathe that healing in&#8230; it is always there for you.</p>
<p>This is the process of health transformation. This is embracing the slender you.</p>
<p>When you see that the <strong>REAL</strong> you is your highest <strong>VISION</strong> for your Self, healthy and whole&#8230; when you align yourself with gratitude, giving, and LOVE&#8230; you are in your true Self.</p>
