Eat Pasta Without Guilt
Do you love eating pasta?
I do too.
But every time I eat it, I always eat way too
much of it.
Pasta and wheat products are one of the things
that I have a very hard time controlling the
portion size. Once I take a bite, I go into
this delirious state where all control and reason
goes out the window...
And the next thing I know, I've eaten an
entire plate of pasta and went back for seconds.
Why does this happen?
I can't control myself because I have a
wheat allergy. If you crave wheat products like
bread, bagels, pasta and pastries then you might
have a wheat allergy too.
Because I always feel way too stuffed and bloated
after I eat pasta (this is also a sign of a
wheat allergy)... for a long time I just didn't
eat it.
But I missed the flavor of the tomato sauce
and the garlic and fresh vegetables that I load
into the marinara sauce.
So finally I found a great substitution for pasta
that tastes delicious and doesn't give me the same
allergic reaction I have to wheat.
So here's your Weekend Fat Blaster Tip:
>>> Substitute pasta for spaghetti squash <<<
Spaghetti squash can be found at your local
grocery store. They are these beautiful yellow
and orange vegetables that when you bake them in
the oven, the flesh of the squash cam be pulled
apart into strands that resemble spaghetti.
To bake it, split lengthwise and remove the
seeds in the central cavity. Put it in the oven
at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Bake it hollow side up. The riper the squash,
the faster it will cook.
Check to see that it is baked by piercing the
flesh with a fork. It should be soft and the flesh
should separate into fat spaghetti-like strands.
Avoid overcooking which will make the flesh become
bland and mushy. It is best when still slightly crunchy.
It has a pleasantly crisp texture and a mild taste,
making it a suitable substitution for almost any dish
calling for noodles.
And squash is a vegetable, not a wheat product
so you won't get the same rush of glucose (sugar)
into your bloodstream... and if you've been reading
these newsletters for a while, you know that's
what causes you to store fat.
And when you eat the squash instead of pasta, you
get all the same great flavor and texture but you won't
have mad cravings for more wheat products, and you won't
have that bloated feeling after you eat it.
Sounds good?
Try it this weekend and let me know how it
works for you.
