“Get Thin By
Changing How You
Think About Food”

 

 

There's a lot of confusion around food, because we
have never been taught EXACTLY what food is and the
purpose of food.

If we were educated on the REAL purpose of food...

... that food is for NUTRITION, not for entertainment...

We would all be far less persuaded and persuadable
by advertising that is selling you on the
"entertainment factor" of food.

I'm here to teach you how to think about food
so you can start making healthy choices that will
last a lifetime.

So let me ask you some questions to get you
thinking about food from a different perspective...

What is food to you personally?

What factors do you think are important when you
decide what food to eat?...

Do you go for taste?  For fullness?  For satisfaction?

And here's a big one... Do you consider HOW this food
is going to affect you AFTER you're done eating it?

Most women never think about WHY they chose the food
they do and they also never think about what is going
to happen to them after they eat it.

I call this "blind eating".

It's when you are literally "blind" to anything other
than the momentary satisfaction that food gives, and
there is NO consideration of how it is going to
affect you in the future.

Well, my friend... TODAY that STOPS.

In this newsletter, I am going to give you a very
clear, easy-to-follow way of thinking about food...
and you will never be "blind" again.

A brilliant friend of mine and business mentor
came up with this method.  It's called "THE 3
PHASES OF FOOD".

1.  The Enjoyment Phase
2.  The Fuel Phase
3.  The Nutrient Phase

Let me explain what this means...

>> 1.  THE ENJOYMENT PHASE

Let's say you encounter a cookie.

Ask yourself, "How is this cookie going to affect
me right now?"
 
This is the first phase of food.

This is the Enjoyment Phase, and it's the phase
that is all about the NOW.

What eating this cookie is going to be like
right now, the experience of it.

What is the texture?

What is the taste?

The smell?

The temperature?

How sweet is it?

How chunky are the chocolate chips?

(You get the idea)...

It's everything that is happening right NOW.

And as I've already mentioned, this is the ONLY
phase that most women think about and consider
when they are deciding whether or not they are
going to eat this food. 

They are "blind" to the other phases...


>> 2.  THE FUEL PHASE

The second phase is called the Fuel Phase.

This food that you are eating will give you fuel for
your LIFE over approximately the next 4 hours (give
or take, depending on the rate or speed of your
metabolism). 

And the quality of this fuel will affect your life in
many ways...

It will affect your PHYSICAL ENERGY -- how much
energy you literally have to get stuff done in
your daily life. 

It will determine if you're tired or energetic
depending on the QUALITY of fuel it gives you for
your physical energy.

This fuel also affects your EMOTIONAL OPTIMISM.
 
Think about it...

Do you feel good about yourself after you pig out
on cookies?  (because you NEVER eat just one, right?)

Do you see how eating these cookies will affect
your mood and emotional optimism over the next
few hours?

And when you have a "carb crash", I don't know about
you, but I feel depressed. 

When I eat a bunch of sugar, sure I get that rush,
but then I crash... and that sucks!

So literally, the food choices that we make affect
our emotional optimism (or pessimism) depending on
what we choose to eat.

And then this fuel also affects your MENTAL CLARITY. 

Food is what your brain runs on. 

The QUALITY of your food that you're eating is
going to affect the QUALITY of how well your brain
can function. 

So the fuel phase affects your PHYSICAL ENERGY,
your EMOTIONAL OPTIMISM, and your MENTAL CLARITY.



>> 3.  THE NUTRIENT PHASE

The third phase is the nutrient phase, and this is
where the food literally turns into nutrition for
your body, for your mind, for your whole SELF. 

This is the nutrition that determines, are you
healthy, or are you not healthy. 

This nutrient phase is where your immune system
is either supercharged or it's decreased, because
when you eat bad foods, your body has to literally
fight against it. 

When you're eating food that you're allergic to,
(and one of the most common allergies is the
chemicals they put in processed foods)...

Your body releases anti-inflammatories to defend
itself against the allergic reaction, and that's
taking away energy from your immune system that it
could be using to fight off diseases, colds and
viruses. 

That's why people who have a healthy diet don't
get sick as often.

Makes sense when you think about it, doesn't it? 

So the nutrient phase affects your immune system,
and it also affects the amount of fat you have on
your body. 

When you eat food that has too many carbohydrates,
like sugar, which is a pure carb and rushes right
into your system, this increases your insulin and
makes you store fat. 

I explain this more in detail in my book. 

So, if it enters your body and causes an insulin
spike, it will produce fat, and this fat may in the
future lead to heart disease or cancer.

This could be the bite that pushes you over the edge.

Will we ever know for sure?... Of course not.

But we will never NOT know either...

The food that you take of a bite of right now WILL
affect your nutrition for years from now, long-term.

And this could possibly be what gave you cancer or
heart disease and pushed you over the edge. 

Now I'm not trying to scare you.  I just want you
to start thinking about things on a "larger"
scale.

The next time you're about to eat a sugar bomb
cookie or some super-fattening, chemical-filled
meal and you think, "Who cares?  It's not gonna
make a difference"...

STOP THINKING LIKE THAT!

Start thinking of it in these three phases of food,
especially the long-term. 

Start expanding your vision. 

Start sending your intuitive force, out into the
future. 

If that sounds far-out and wacky, hey, I understand,
but just try it.  You may find out that wacky is
kinda fun.

See if you can really think about yourself in the
future. 

Do this as often as you can because it gives you a
lamppost to follow.  These lampposts will help
light your way. 

And it helps you in your journey to becoming the
woman you are MEANT to be. 

Visualize who you want to become as often as you
can. 

And this is a great way to find that intuitive
expansion of your awareness into the future. 

Start thinking, "How is this food going to affect
me in the long-term?" 

Most people only think about food in the Enjoyment
Phase... The right now. 

They only think, "How is this going to taste?"...
"How is this going to satisfy my craving and my
desire to eat right now?" 

So think about that, and then take it a step
further and think about the next 4 hours...

Think about it over the fuel phase, "If
I eat this cookie, I know that I'll go for
about 10-15 minutes of a blissful rush and then I'm
going to crash hard... and can I really afford to
do that right now?"

Maybe you'll realize, "My mind needs to be alert. 
I need energy, I'm going to go exercise or I've got
a yoga class this afternoon"...

"Can I really afford to sacrifice these next 4 hours
for this one moment of enjoyment?"

If you decide, "Yes.  It is worth it."

Fine.

At least you made a conscious choice.

But I have a feeling that if you continue to ask
yourself this question, you will find times that
it is NOT worth it and that you'd rather have
4 hours of HEALTHY SUSTAINED ENERGY for your body,
mind and emotions...

And you get that by eating the RIGHT foods.

Still confused what the RIGHT foods are?  I make it
really simple for you in my ebook.  Everything you

And then after the fuel phase, start thinking even
FARTHER out into the future...

Ask yourself, "Is this worth my health long-term." 

"Could this potentially cause fat in my body which
gives me cancer or heart disease or could this
possibly lower my immune system and be the cause of
why I get a cold two months from now?"...

Is it worth that?

Is it worth suffering in bed through a cold to lower
your immune system for this one moment of pleasure?

How important is this enjoyment phase to you?

ON A SCALE OF 1-10 <<< 

Eating that sugar cookie is going to be a rush. 
I'm not saying that it's not.  I love cookies more
than the next person, believe me, I love that rush.

I would say it's a 10 on the Enjoyment Phase.

If you're only looking for a 10 on the enjoyment
phase, then you're only going to be eating these
unhealthy processed foods because only man-made foods
can give you that rush of euphoria. 

Nature isn't as exciting as processed foods, but
it's like the lover that sticks with you through the
end... 

Do you want the man who you meet in the bar who's
just a quick fun one night of pleasure or do you want
a man in a relationship who you're going to grow
and stick with you?...

And gives you REAL, SUSTAINED love throughout
your entire life?

I think MOST women are looking for that REAL
thing.  And it's the same with food.

If you are willing to dial that 10 down to around
a 6 or 7, already you're eating at a healthier
range.

Because there are delicious NATURAL foods out
there that will give you pleasure on a 6 or 7 level.

Processed foods have unfortunately changed our
tastes buds because of the "supercharged" flavorings
and chemicals that they put in them...

So it's hard for nature to compete.

But when you eliminate processed foods from your
diet, your taste buds will return back to their
natural state and natural foods will taste better
and better until that's the ONLY thing that will
taste good and the processed foods will start to
taste like... chemicals.

This is what I call "purifying the palate".  And if
you give it a chance, it WILL happen.

If enjoying your food right here and now is the ONLY
thing that matters to you, and you don't consider
the fuel phase or the nutrient phase then you're
going to be eating for all the WRONG reasons.

If you're willing to dial back that enjoyment phase
a few notches then you can get a higher level in the
other phases.

For instance...

If you decide to eat this cookie, the enjoyment is
really high at a 10.

But the fuel phase is going to be at a 3 because you
will NOT get healthy, sustained physical energy,
emotional optimism and mental clarity over the next
4 hours.

But if you decide to eat a piece of fruit and some
almonds INSTEAD of the cookie...

The enjoyment phase may go down to a 6 or a 7...

...(I personally LOVE the taste of a granny smith apple
and some almonds - it tastes like a delicious apple
pie)...

But you WILL get QUALITY fuel over the next 4 hours
so that raises the Fuel Phase higher than a 10!

See how that works?

They have inverse relationships with each other.

And the same thing goes with the nutrient phase.
 
So as the enjoyment phases go down just a little
bit, the other two go up... WAY UP.

If you start thinking about, "I can get this rush
right now but I know it's going to drop my other
phases to a lower level"...

Is it really worth it?

If you do chose to dial that back, the amount of
fuel, the QUALITY of fuel that you receive is
off the charts... And the nutrition that you are
giving your body, mind and spirit will insure
a long and HEALTHY life.

Nowhere else can you get that kind of return on
your investment.

If you make some adjustments, if you dial back in
the first phase, you can get a 100 times greater
return on your investment.

Where else can you get that?

I think this is an excellent way to start thinking
about food because it takes you out of just the
here and now and ONLY thinking about that rush of
pleasure...

It opens your mind to the future, to 4 hours from
now, 24 hours from, and then a year from and then
onto your health for the long term.

Your relationship with food is changing.

You're becoming aware of how powerful food is and
how necessary it is for life and living a HEALTHY
life.

But just like so many so things in life, it's
your CHOICE whether you use food to be good for
you or if you use food to destroy yourself.

I believe that you have chosen the first, that's
why you're here listening to me today.

I want you to know that I'm happy for you and I'm
proud of you because I know that most people are
too uncomfortable to REALLY look at their
relationship with food because then they would have
to look at the truth.

But by you looking at your relationship with food,
already you have shown that you have the strength
to confront it and by confronting it, you will
overcome it.

I know this.

I know that your willingness to read and to explore
and to learn new ways, it's only a matter of time
before all this new way of thinking soaks in and
takes effect and it becomes your NEW way of thinking. 

Just like learning a language, you have to be
immersed in it before you become fluent. 

That is why I've written an entire book on the
