Practically every diet book out there tells
you that in order to lose weight, you have to
keep track of what you're eating and count all
the calories, fat and carbs you eat every day.
And that by looking at the calories, fat and
sugar, you'll be able to tell what foods are
"good" and what foods are "bad".
If you're like me, then you've found this
'counting calories' system is too complicated to
make part of your REAL life...
Which is why I came up with something better--
A system to select "good" foods that you can
actually stick with as a PERMANENT lifestyle.
Eating "good" foods is not the total solution to
losing weight, but it is incredibly important.
If you're NOT eating healthy foods then this is
probably the root of WHY you're never able to
lose weight...
It's why you never have energy to exercise...
It's why you're ALWAYS craving "bad" foods full
of sugar, and fat, and chemicals...
It's why you're overeating and having a hard time
with portion control...
But the good news, is that eating the "good"
healthy foods will solve all these problems!
So you're probably thinking, "GREAT. But how
do I know these "good" foods when I see them?"
Don't worry girlfriend, I've got you covered.
Finding the "good" foods can be very confusing,
which is why I've come up with a phrase to make it
easy for you to remember, and makes it impossible
for you to eat the wrong foods --
I call it my "3C Rule" --
COUNT CHEMICALS, NOT CALORIES.
This may not sound like that big of a deal,
but I'm telling you if, if you incorporate this
into your life... it's the beginning of BIG
changes. You WILL start to lose weight FAST
and it will change your relationship with
food forever.
Let me tell you how it has changed mine...
One time I went to a diet doctor. You
know - those doctors that send out the coupons
in your mail?
I'm totally embarrassing myself in front of
you, but I was desperate and the woman on the
front picture looked so skinny and happy... so
I made an appointment to see this "miracle weight
loss doctor".
I went in for my appointment and the doctor
gave me some dieting advice. He told me to eat the
pre-packaged frozen diet meals because they "only
have 200 calories".
He said these diet foods are easy to find
because they have names like "Health" and "Lite"
and "Smart" right on the front label.
So I loaded my freezer up with all those diet
meals. And I noticed right away that they have
pictures of fresh food on the cover... but the
actual food looks like something that should have
been thrown out with last week's leftovers.
Not very appetizing, but I got over it -- I was
determined to lose weight.
So I followed the doctor's advice and I ate
these foods for a couple of weeks...
And I have never felt worse.
I had no energy, I was depressed all the time,
my skin broke out, I was bloated, I couldn't
sleep well or concentrate during the day, I had
intense cravings for fried foods and sugar, and the
worst thing of all...
I got fatter!
At the time, I didn't understand why all these
bad things were happening to me. But now that I
have spent years researching and learning from fit,
healthy women it is very clear...
The doctor was wrong.
The people who I talk to now are ACTUALLY fit.
They are fitness experts, not medical doctors. The
leaders in the field of health and fitness say,
"That doctor was crazy."
Sometimes doctors are right, but when it comes to
weight loss, frequently they are wrong.
I would never have believed that a doctor could be
wrong, but there it is. He was living in the world of
1970s nutrition where people believed you just need to
"eat less calories in order to lose weight."
Well, it's not the 1970s anymore and now we know
things that we didn't know back then.
Just because a food SAYS that it's a health
food and uses the name 'healthy' or 'diet' or
'lite' and because it's low in calories... DOES
NOT MEAN THAT IT'S GOOD FOR YOU AND THAT IT WILL
MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT.
In fact, I found that the OPPOSITE is true.
The REAL health food doesn't use a fancy label
or a clever name...
In fact, the REAL health food doesn't have a
label at all.
Let me explain...
When I was fat and overweight, I NEVER used to
take the time to look at what my food was made of.
In fact, I didn't even think about my food AT
ALL. To me, hunger was an emotion -- it was a
feeling that I had to satisfy, not a CHOICE that
I got to make.
It didn't even occur to me that I had a
choice. I would just wait until I could no
longer ignore that "feeling" of hunger...
And then I would ask myself, "What am
I craving?"
And then I would go and get it.
Well, as you can imagine, this was not a very
effective strategy for selecting healthy food.
Because I was ALWAYS craving something UN-healthy.
At the time, I didn't understand that cravings
were a communication signal my body was trying to
send me. And the more UN-healthy food I was
eating, the more cravings I would have.
So whatever I was craving, I would eat. And
every year, I watched in horror as my stomach got
fatter, my butt got wider, and the cellulite
pockets on my thighs got deeper.
The MANY times that I tried to diet, I would
use the "counting calories" system, but I
figured out quickly how to beat the system --
I would count the calories of a donut, but
I would STILL chose to eat it by rationalizing that
I wouldn't eat dinner that night (or something
stupid like that).
And according to the "counting calories" system,
I was still UNDER my maximum calories for the day,
so I should be losing weight.
Well, I never lost weight for very long on the
"counting" system. The weight would ALWAYS come
back.
Counting the fat and the calories while I was
dieting did do one good thing -- it gave me the
habit of LOOKING at what my food was made of.
And that's when I started making some
fascinating observations...

One day while I was grocery shopping, I was
standing in the bread aisle trying to decide what
health bread I should buy.
I selected brands that had the names "health"
or "lite" or "natural" because I had heard that
white bread was really bad for you.
So out of these "healthy" bread choices, I was
going to compare the amount of calories, fat, and
carbs each one of them had and then make my
decision based on that.
I came across two different breads that had the
same amount of calories, fat, and carbs... searching
for more, I scanned down to the ingredients list.
And that's when I saw it --
Right there as Ingredient #1 --
Enriched white flour.
"Huh? I thought this was the health bread?"
I kept reading --
And that's when I saw the second ingredient --
High-fructose corn syrup.
The rest of the ingredients were chemicals with
names that I could not even pronounce, much less
understand what they were... like exthoxylated
diglycerides... huh?
At this point, I was thoroughly confused.
"How can the front label say 'health' bread but
the ingredients on the back be the same as the white
'bad-for-you' breads?"
And that's when the light bulb went off...
THE FRONT LABELS ARE LYING!
Sure, they will tell you that technically
they aren't lying-- they are just using words
like "healthy" and "natural" as part of their
NAME or slogan-- not making any statements about
what is actually in their product.
But let's face it. It's designed to fool us.
I quickly ran to the frozen food aisle and
picked up all those frozen foods the diet doctor
had recommended that I eat.
And sure enough, they were full of chemicals
that I couldn't pronounce. Even though their
front labels said "Healthy" and "Natural" and
"Lite" -- THEY WERE MOSTLY CHEMICALS!
Now, I didn't know much about nutrition at the
time. I hadn't learned all of this food
science yet, but I did know that my body did NOT
want to eat chemicals... My body needs FOOD.
All these ingredients in the products I was
was eating were mostly made of chemicals.
And the funniest part was that, when I set out
to eat healthy and go on a diet to lose weight,
I was STILL eating these chemicals.
I spent over an hour that day scanning the back
labels on all my favorite foods. I was shocked
at the ingredients I was ACTUALLY eating.
The front labels say one thing, but the back
labels with the ingredients can't lie. The FDA
makes them put the ACTUAL ingredients in the
ingredients list on the back.
All those years that I had spent fighting
against my weight, and getting frustrated when I
couldn't lose it...
I realized, it wasn't my fault.
I had trusted the names of the foods that I
was eating. I believed them when they said in
big, bold letters right on the front that it was
"Good for you" and "Healthy".
I made a promise to myself that I would never
be fooled again. From that day forward, I was
going to read the ingredients BEFORE I bought it
and brought it home with me.
I continued with my grocery shopping that
day and I found there WERE foods that didn't
have a long list of strange chemicals as their
ingredients. And there were some foods that
didn't even have a label at all --
They were the REAL natural foods. The
foods that mother nature makes.
I noticed that these foods were the fresh,
natural foods that hadn't been processed or
touched by some man-made machine. They hadn't
been altered much from their ORIGINAL form and
they still looked the same as they would in
nature.
For example, when I read the ingredients list
for eggs -- it says "Eggs" -- no chemicals there.
And oatmeal -- it says "Whole rolled oats" --
no chemicals there either.
And broccoli doesn't even have a label. I
guess because there's nothing to list -- It's just
broccoli.
I laughed out loud to myself and said, "I'm
gonna stop counting calories and start counting
chemicals!"...
And in that moment my entire life changed.

That day in the grocery store, I found a
solution to the frustration I had suffered with
for years...
How do I know what foods are "good" and what
foods are "bad"?
I found a magical 4 word phrase that ALWAYS
gives me a quick, simple way to choose healthy
food --
The 3 C Rule: "COUNT CHEMICALS, NOT CALORIES."
This simple phrase changed my perspective on
healthy food.
I am no longer fooled by a product name that
says "healthy" or "natural". Because I just
turn over the box and read the back label where
the ingredients are listed.
If there are more than two or three chemicals
that I can't pronounce and don't recognize, then
I DON'T EAT IT.
This simple process takes less than 3 seconds.
And it has kept me from ever having to count
calories again.
There are many things that you have to learn
to get a healthy lifestyle... and diet (the foods
you choose to eat) is one of the hardest to
figure out.
But with "The 3-C Rule" (Count Chemicals, not
Calories), the diet part is simple.
Once I eliminated all those chemical-filled
foods from my diet, it was much simpler to get
the rest of it under control and get exactly
what I wanted --
A body that is free of extra fat and cellulite,
and full of energy and radiant happiness.
I know it will do the same for you.
As you become aware of these chemicals and
what they look like, it will become easier for
you to recognize the natural foods that do not
have those strange artificial flavors, colorings
and preservatives.
You will WANT your food to be it's normal
color and taste because after you have STOPPED
eating them for a while, those chemicals just won't
taste good to you anymore.
Just like any "bad" addiction, these chemicals
will not be attractive to you once you are no longer
addicted.
Ask anyone who has ever been addicted to smoking
cigarettes... when you're addicted to them, they
taste great... but when the addiction has STOPPED then
they are disgusting!
It's the same with these chemicals.
You just have to STOP eating them for a little
while, then your body will be REPULSED by them.
Mother nature does not want you to be fat
and unhappy.
When you believe that foods from the earth
are PERFECT just the way they are, you will not
want strange, man-made machines changing their
shape, taste and color.
And the man-made foods will become less and
less attractive to you.
This is a process.
It may not happen over night.
But it will happen if you let it.
And it all starts with taking 3 seconds BEFORE
you select your foods at the grocery store...
Remember the 3-C Rule.
Take the time to look at the ingredients and
if it's loaded with chemicals -- Put it back.
If you follow this simple trick and you stick
with it, it will go a long way to ensuring that
you are eating the right foods to get yourself
into shape and give you a NEW life.
The "good" foods will do that for you.
Mother nature knows best. Chemicals cause
you to overeat, have uncontrollable cravings, zap
your energy, and make your body store fat.
Stick to natural foods, and your body will
thank you. Your mind will be clear and alert.
Your energy level and happiness will skyrocket.
You will LOVE the changes you see in your
body, mind and spirit.
Now I know that just telling you what to eat
and what to do would be fine if you were a machine.
I could just program you with what to do to lose
weight and you would do it.
That would be great wouldn't it? But it
doesn't work like that.
Knowing how to get in shape and ACTUALLY
following through are two different things.
It's much more complicated.
I've been exactly where you're standing
RIGHT NOW and I'm here to tell you that there
is a solution.
I'd like to save you from any more wasted time,
hassles, and heartache when it comes to losing
weight and getting healthy.
And I'd like to help you swing the odds in your
favor so you no longer believe that losing
weight is out of your power because of your
genetics, environment, or whatever...
You CAN create the life and the body that you
KNOW is possible.

know that only YOU have the responsibility to
